Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC), run and administered by Ras Laffan City (RLC), a directorate of Qatar Petroleum (QP), is a multipurpose, multidimensional industrial city, situated along the north east coast of Qatar. It is located about 80 kilometers from Qatar’s North Field, which is the world’s largest single non associated gas field with approximately 900 trillion cubic feet of proven reserves.
RLIC, destined to become the gas processing capital of the world, is one of the biggest producers of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Gas to Liquids Products (GTL), Sales Gas for Fuels, and ultimately petrochemicals such as ethylene, propylene, polyethylene and polypropylene. There is a growing presence of multinational industry players such as Qatargas, RasGas, Dolphin Energy, Oryx GTL, and Shell, aided by various support industries.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE TOUR
- No photography is allowed in RLIC (no cameras will be allowed- mobiles photo taking is also forbidden)
- Need the visitor clear electronic passport copy in advance to make visit passes
- When entering RLIC, all visitors must show an original passport with a minimum validity of 6 month at the date of the tour
The tour will depart from the Lobby (meeting point at reception desk) of the Sheraton Resort & Convention Hotel at 1:00pm on Sunday, 25th September.
